How can I use a created icon on the Windows desktop?

How to use icons on Windows desktop?

1. Right click on the desktop.
2. Choose New/Shortcut from the popup menu.
3. Select the object - a document or executable.
4. The default icon of the object will appear on the desktop. To change it - do right click on the icon and choose properties from the popup menu.
5. Press Change Icon button, select the icon you want and press OK.
