Aha-Soft Releases ArtIcons 4.0b
 December, 2004 - Aha-Soft, a leading developer of graphics software, announced this month the release of Aha-Soft ArtIcons version 4.0b, its innovative solution for creating, editing and managing Windows icons and icon libraries.
ArtIcons is a comprehensive tool for working with icons that enables you to create, edit, extract, export and import icons and process icon libraries. The main advantage of the program is that it can do virtually any icon-related task - create and edit standard or custom-sized icons with color depth up to 16 million colors, convert images to icons, extract icons from various sources (executable files, icon libraries, animated cursor files, etc). Also, the program can create and edit icon libraries, compare their contents to delete duplicates, arrange icons inside libraries, split libraries into icons, export library contents into a single image and save all icons from a selected folder(s) into an icon library.
Importantly, the program offers numerous advantages over similar applications - it supports layers and stores icon projects with layer information, offers hatch and chess patterns for transparent color, is capable of altering icons inside executables and other files, can be used to customize Windows Desktop and folder icons, supports export and import from Adobe Photoshop files. ArtIcons offers a number of tools and special effects for modifying and editing images - from applying smooth and negative effects to rolling, rotating, cropping, resizing, and using drop shadow, grayscale and mirror effects.
