containing four most popular applications for working with icons and
cursors under the name of IconUtils.
IconUtils consists of four different applications - IconLover,
AhaView, Any to Icon and Icon to Any - that let you import and export
icons and cursors, edit them, convert images to icons and the other
way around, process images and do much more.
IconLover is an all-in-one solution providing tools to create, edit,
manage, store, search, import, download and convert icons and cursors
of various formats including 32-bit semi-transparent static as well as
animated images. The icon creation module has all the necessary
features that will satisfy an experienced designer: "Layers" design
model, alpha-blending, a wide range of special effects, sophisticated
transformations, etc.
Any to Icon is a simple converter tool that lets you convert images to
icons and break up icon libraries into individual icons. Basically,
Any to Icon is a batch converter that works with BMP, JPEG, GIF, PNG,
WBMP, XPM, XBM, PSD and WMF images, allowing you to change color
resolution and size to create customized icons.
Icon to Any is a "mirror image" of a previous program. It's a batch
converter with wizard-like interface that converts Windows icons and
cursors into images of various formats - BMP, JPG, PNG, GIF, ICO, CUR,
WBMP, PSD, XPM, XBM and RC.
AhaView is a picture viewer and converter that supports all popular
graphic formats, including JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, ICO, CUR, ANI, WBMP,
XPM, XBM, and PSD. You can browse images in thumbnail mode, view
pictures full screen with zooming features, convert images to JPEG,
PNG, BMP formats and manage your graphics files.
The new version of IconUtils features support for icon archives,
ability to download icons directly from the Internet, support for Mac
OS icons, Borland resource files, and an improved image editor.
It was an intentional decision not to merge these applications into a
single program, as experience has demonstrated that the resulting
title inevitably becomes bulky, less convenient and users stubbornly
prefer using the older versions that they are used to.
